Costs/Materials

CNM pays college tuition and registration fees for high school students. APS provides textbooks for both high school and CNM courses.

However, students are responsible for additional fees required for some degree/certificate plans, such as tools, uniforms, or software. The CNM Foundation can assist students with a financial need to help pay for course supplies, uniforms, and/or fees that are required by certain CNM courses.

CNM Textbooks

Do not go to the CNM or UNM bookstores for dual credit textbooks.

CNM textbooks will be provided at no cost by APS.  Dual credit students are not required to purchase textbooks for their CNM classes.

The general procedure is for students to notify APS of which courses they are taking and then scheduling a time to pick up their textbooks at an APS warehouse located near the CNM campus.  Textbooks must be returned at the end of the semester.

APS and CNM publish detailed instructions each semester, and those instructions will be posted on the Textbook Center for APS Dual Credit Students web site.

APS Textbooks

All high school textbooks are issued through content area teachers. The high school textbooks must be returned to the content area teachers by the end of the last day of the term. Students who do not return textbooks will be charged the replacement cost of the book.

Lost/Damaged Textbooks

All textbooks, including your college textbooks, are the property of the State of New Mexico and are loaned to students with the expectation that they will be used appropriately, treated with care, and returned in good condition. Charges will be assessed for lost or damaged books. Students will be informed of the materials they have checked out and of any fines, fees, or other charges they have incurred.

Chromebooks

All CCHS students are provided a Chromebook for the duration of their enrollment at CCHS to support high school and college learning environments. Students must comply with the Computer Use Contract signed at the beginning of the year and the APS Student Technology Acceptable Use Policy
