Internet Safety

The Internet has changed the way we communicate, but as with any tool, it has to be used properly.  Here are some tips to consider when using the internet:

1. Know where your information is going. Generally, what you post is not private and can be accessed by people you don't know.  Be careful about what you post and keep in mind that even if you delete information, it may still be on someone's database or computer years from now. The bottom line is don't post anything you wouldn't want everyone to see. "Don't do or say anything online you wouldn't say offline."  Internet Safety expert Parry Aftab,

2. Of course, never give out your personal information on the internet unless you are registering or buying something from a registered site.

3. If you are being bullied or harassed online, tell someone.  The staff at CCHS are committed to keeping our school safe and will help you with this problem.
